講題: Digitalization Trends and Practices to Improve the Delivery of High-Tech Facilities
演講摘要
The needs of clients operating high-tech facilities have changed over the past decades, but so have their expectations about how these requirements should be met. Observing how the Digitalization process is changing other industries, they also expect the same step change improvements when designing and building a new high-tech facility.
Exyte has a clear view of the changes and benefits that Digitalization and the implementation of new technologies can bring, specifically addressing their clients’ requirements in high- tech industries. This goes beyond the typical solution of implementing 3D BIM (Building Information Management) or stand-alone tools.
The fusion of the real and digital worlds is key to achieving the target of Digitalization. Building and enhancing a digital model greatly improves all dimensions of design, construction and operation of high tech facilities. In addition to the 3D geometrical information, this model also includes all technical, schedule and cost data that allow all stakeholders to tap into the same data base, thus avoiding duplication, errors and data management efforts. Furthermore, generation of a budget and the construction schedule will be greatly simplified. Smart tools detect geometrical collisions in the model and determine clashes related to the construction sequence as well as highlighting critical areas where the timing and budget of a project can easily divert. As part of its Digitalization Roadmap, Exyte has already implemented several solutions to improve the design phase in a number of projects.
Exyte’s Roadmap also focuses on optimization of a project during the construction phase. Digital capturing of the construction progress via drones and scanners, combined with data from sensors on men and materials, update the digital model. Therefore, the virtual model is continuously aligned with the growing real world project and detects discrepancies and errors with high accuracy. Analyzing data from material flows and construction progress creates reliable forecasts and improves the planning of future activities.
The addition of data into the digital model from the construction phase generates the Digital Twin that forms a cornerstone for a Smart Manufacturing site. It is an integral part of the IoT Platform that drives the highly efficient and sustainable processes while collecting, analyzing and optimizing real-time data and events during the operational lifetime of a high-tech facility.
