Intelligent Application in Facility Management
Abstract
As information technologies develop and break through, e.g., from conventional rule-based system commanding to wireless IoT communication for various devices monitoring/control, or from traditional machine learning approach to deep learning algorithm for huge data/image analysis, TSMC always shows enthusiasm and is willing to be pioneer for deploying those novel technologies, as well as intelligent applications, into our daily facility operations. In this presentation, we will share several cases of intelligent applications at TSMC in recent years that benefit the efficiency/quality of our routine job or make our working environment become a much safer place. Subjects include that: 1) use big data modeling to trend chart analysis for device abnormal detection, 2) adopt AGV robot for automatic environment monitoring, operational material handling, or patrolling, 3) combine smart vision inspection approach and system design to achieve a full automatic chemical supplying, and 4) integrate image processing and deep learning algorithm as intelligent surveillance application which realizes our working compliance policy at sites. Also, we will introduce our next plan, which is how to leverage the human-robot collaboration helping people deliver more accurate, precise, and high-quality working achievements.
