BIO
Andrew Liu is a senior deep learning solution architect at NVIDIA, assist customers in building innovative solutions based on NVIDIA technology. His research interests are in the area of applying machine learning algorithms to real world problems. Prior to NVIDIA, Andrew was a machine learning engineer at Foxconn. He took the lead of the analytical team, developed various kinds of predictive modeling projects centered around manufacturing processes, including defect inspection and predictive maintenance, etc. During Ph.D. program, he has worked as a visiting scholar at Los Alamos National Laboratory's Bio Science Team, working on Human and Environmental Microbiome Projects.

Artificial intelligence is a once-in-a-generation technology. It promises to make our transportation systems safer and more efficient, aid in breakthrough scientific discoveries, and help medical professionals provide better care for more people.
AI is software that automates tasks it learned from previous examples. Simply put, AI is the automation of automation, at a precision, speed, and scale not previously possible. Estimated to improve global productivity by about 1.2% annually and add 16% to global economic output by 2030, AI can revolutionize multitrillion-dollar industries, fueling the growth of nations around the world.
Broad ecosystems combining industry and cross-border partnerships are key to unlocking the promise of AI. With the NVIDIA platform, expertise, and partner network, countries can rapidly build out and harness world-leading AI infrastructure to meet today’s challenges.
The fourth industrial revolution, built on the super-automation ability of AI, is underway. In this talk, NVIDIA shares the impact of AI, what deep learning is good for and why it’s such a powerful technology, the challenges many organizations face when getting started with AI and we’ll wrap up with some recommendations to help you get started using deep learning in your own applications.
